The P-6 curriculum at Currumbin State School is developed from the Australian Curriculum. Our priority is to improve the academic achievement for all students by following the State Schools Strategy.

We achieve this by-

  • Improving reading, writing and numeracy for all students
  • Developing feedback strategies to move learning forward
  • Improving the participation and achievement of students with disability
  • Lifting the performance of our top students
  • Closing the gap for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students

The Australian Curriculum is delivered through the following Key learning Areas

  1. English
  2. Mathematics
  3. Science
  4. HASS
  5. The Arts
  6. HPE
  7. Technology
  8. LOTE

Subject disciplines are enacted and assessed through the Curriculum To Classroom resource (C2C) with a specific focus on developing rigorous feedback practices to support the teaching and learning of the Australian Curriculum. Teachers employ high quality, evidence-based practices and are focused on success for every student.
