Enrolling for prep at Currumbin State School is an important and exciting process.  Here are four simple steps to follow:

Step 1

Check the prep ready reckoner calculator

You can use the prep ready reckoner calculator to determine when your child can commence their prep year.

Step 2

Check the catchment area

Currumbin State School has an enrolment management plan that guarantees enrolment to students within our designated catchment area. Families applying to enrol can check their residential address at Queensland Schools catchment maps.

Where there is spare capacity, students from outside of the catchment area can be considered.  Please contact the office to be added to our out of catchment waiting list.

Enrolment is guaranteed to siblings of our current students.

Step 3

Attend the following Parent Information Sessions

Step 4

Make an enrolment appointment
Enrolment appointments can be made at the July Prep 2019 Parent Information Sessions

Enrolment appointments take approximately 25 minutes and will occur during Semester 2, 2018.

Bring the following to your enrolment appointment

  • Your child (if possible).
  • Your child’s original birth certificate or passport.
  • Proof of residential address:
           - one primary source - a current lease agreement, rates notice or unconditional              sale agreement.
           - one secondary source - a utility bill (e.g. electricity, gas)
  • Completed enrolment form. You can download the enrolment form (PDF, 516 KB) or call into the office at least 20 minutes prior to your enrolment appointment to collect an enrolment package.
  • Passport/visa details (if place of birth not Australia).
  • Any relevant reports eg. any special needs, medical information, previous learning intervention / extension, anything else you believe will be important for the school to know.
