Feedback is among the most powerful influences available to the teacher (Hattie, 2009) and is an optimum driver for learning outcomes. At Currumbin, feedback strategies are embedded into professional learning and classroom practices and is premised upon the three stages of feedback:

  • Feeding Up
Where am I going? Making sure that students are aware of where they are headed with their learning.
  • Feeding Back
How am I going? Making sure that students understand how they are going in relation to the above.
  • Feeding Forward
What is my next step? Making sure that students understand what they need to do next to improve.
