Welcome to the Currumbin School Family.
At Currumbin State School, we are very proud of our outstanding achievements. Academically our students excel, achieving above the national and state average consistently. On the sporting field our teams are regularly in State Finals. We actively foster the sporting success of all students, providing pathways to high school programs. We excel in music, offering concert bands, jazz bands and rock bands, along with string ensembles, choirs and a dance academy. Further, we boast strong ties with PBC with our staff and students moving across school sites daily.
Our proudest achievement, however, is that all of the children in our community are happy and love school. We are excited to invite families of children born 1st July 2021 to 30th June 2022 into our Currumbin family in 2027.
We invite you to come on a school tour to see our amazing school in action. During the tour you will not only see our facilities, but we will venture into classrooms to see where the magic takes place. I am sure as soon as you step foot on our school grounds, you will feel the warmth and care that our school family offers.
We encourage parents to attend our parent information sessions, which will explain the enrolment and transition process.
Enrolling in Prep is an exciting and important time. Here are 6 simple steps to follow:

Check the Prep Ready Reckoner Calculator to determine when your child can commence prep.
Step 2
In catchment
Currumbin SS has an enrolment management plan that guarantees enrolment to students within our designated catchment area. Please check your residential address at Queensland Schools Catchment Maps.
Unforunately we cannot accept out of catchment enrolments.
Step 3
Prep 2027 - Currumbin State School Tours
We will be offering school tours on the following dates -
9:00am - Friday 6 March, Wednesday 1 April, Monday 11 May
3:30pm - Tuesday 17 March, Tuesday 5 May
Step 4
Enrolment package
You can collect an enrolment package from either of these locations:
- our school office
- your local Early Childhood Education Centre
- Parent Information Sessions (see dates below).

Prep 2026 - Parent Information Sessions
Friday 1 May 9:00am
Tuesday 26 May 9:00am or 3:30pm
Experts in oral literacy, motor skills and school readiness will discuss how to prepare your child for prep in fun and engaging ways. This essential session explains how to enrol your prep child at Currumbin for 2027 and details our transition plans.
Step 6
Enrolment Interviews
Enrolment Interviews will take place between 10 - 20 August 2026.
During this meeting we will finalise your enrolment paperwork. It is essential that you bring the following to the appointment:
- Your child's original birth certificate
- Your child
- Completed enrolment form
- Proof of residency information
- Any other relevant reports.
We look forward to learning all about your child and your family, answering all your questions and discussing your goals for your child when starting Prep.

This transition session, which takes place in a Prep classroom, is vital to a successful start to Prep. This session will be booked at your interview.
Meet Your Mates
Monday 7 December 2026, 9:00am - 10:30am
Students are invited to spend time in Prep classrooms getting to know their teacher, teacher aide and class mates.
